SINGLES FELLOWSHIP Friday, August 27, join us for a Potluck Dinner & Bunco Night at 7:00 PM in The Edge. Sunday, we’re meeting for lunch after church at Red Lobster on Memorial. THE WORD SHOP CAFÉ Be sure to stop in Sunday to take advantage of our August sale! We will be closed Monday - Wednesday, August 30 – September 1. FREE BOOKS The GCS Library still has some books to give away. Feel free to stop by Sunday after church. The library is located on the first floor of the education wing. GSM @Night The first six-week session begins Monday, August 30. Register online or call the church, 252-1611 ext. 5083. YOUTH RETREAT retreat: \ri-ˈtrēt\ noun a place of privacy, safety, refuge; a period away from normal activities; a period of group withdrawal for prayer, meditation, study, or instruction. We’re planning a fall retreat for the youth November 12-13 at Camp Loughridge. The cost is $75, due by October 10. Eat. Play. Love God. Better than the movie. COMING UP IN SEPTEMBER GRACE MOMS DAY OUT The fall session begins September 2. GMDO is available four days a week for children ages 15 months – 4 years. Go to the website, gracemdo.com or call 317-5129 for more information. SINGLE ALLIANCE FELLOWSHIP Our annual Labor Day Picnic will be Sunday, September 5, 1:00 PM at the church pavilion. Please sign up in our CrossRoads class to bring a dish to share. Dress picnic casual and bring a friend! Come have a great time of relaxation, games, and fellowship. CROSSROADS We’re kicking off the fall season with a challenging series and we don’t want to hear any complaints about it! Come see what it’s all about Sunday, September 12. Until then, get all your complaining out of your system by going to the Grace Church “Group” page on Facebook. AWANA @ GRACEKIDS Awana begins September 8 at 6:45 PM in the GraceKids building. DIVORCE CARE A new Divorce Care session will begin September 8. This thirteen week class / support group meets Wednesday evenings at 7:00 in the North Education Building. DIVORCE CARE for KIDS “DC4K” is an exciting new program for children ages 5-12 designed to work in conjunction with Divorce Care for adults. DC4K combines videos, games, music, crafts and activities to create a warm, caring environment and a powerful and effective ministry to children hurt by divorce. This thirteen week class will be held at the same time as Divorce Care, 7:00 - 8:30 PM Wednesdays, in the GraceKids building. If you have any questions, please call the Biblical Counseling Ministry, ext. 5600. BUSINESS LEADERS’ BREAKFAST Thursday, September 9, Lt. Col. Chuck Burks with the U. S. Marine Corps will be our guest speaker for our “season-opener” of monthly breakfasts. Lt. Col. Burks is on leave from his recent duty at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and looks forward to sharing his inspiring testimony of what the Lord has done and continues to do in his life. Join us for a delicious breakfast at 7:00 AM in the Chapel. The cost is $10, payable at the door. BABY DEDICATIONS Babies are dedicated the second Sunday of the month during second service. The next dedication will be Sunday, September 12. Space is limited. Call Gwen at ext. 5201 to reserve a spot. LADIES GAME NIGHT Save the date! Tuesday, September 21, 6:00 PM in the Chapel Reception Rooms, the Graceful Ladies are hosting a covered dish dinner and Bunco. Food, fun, fellowship and prizes! Sign up at the iBooth.
Sunday, we'll be saying goodbye to Brian and Nancy Haralson as they follow God's leading to move to Florida. Please take a few minutes after the service to bless them. Be in prayer that God brings us His choice for our new worship leader. Daniel Amstutz will be leading us in praise & worship September 11-12, in all the weekend services.
